What trash removal options are there?

Hire a skip

They can be a good option, but be aware:

  • Most skip companies can charge $95-$110 per m3 depending on the size of the bin
    They charge extra for mattress, tyres and heavy weights
  • If you want to put it on the nature strip you may need to pay extra for a permit
  • Other people sometimes fill up your bin at night
  • It can be hard to estimate exactly what size you require – too small or too big?
  • It’s hard to fit in bulky items like couches
  • You have to load the skip yourself

We recycle as much as possible, eg,

What don't you take?

Asbestos

Putrescible garbage, eg, stuff that decays or is smelly

Sand, soil, bricks, rocks, concrete, etc – no more than approx 2 wheelbarrow’s full

Do you do all the loading or do I have to help you?
 

We usually load everything ourselves. However if you want to help with the smaller items we usually don’t say no.

Can you give me an estimate of the cost?

No problem. Just give us a call and we can usually give a reasonally accurate estimate over the phone. Once I get there and see the trash I’ll give you a fixed price before loading
